Ingredients of Mom's Meatloaf

  1. It's 1 1/2 lb of Ground beef.
  2. It's 1 1/2 cup of quaker oats.
  3. You need 1 small of onion.
  4. You need 1 1/2 tsp of salt.
  5. You need 1/2 tsp of pepper.
  6. You need 1 of egg.
  7. Prepare 3/4 cup of milk.
  8. It's 1 tsp of master gravy.
  9. Prepare 1 tsp of mustard.
  10. It's 2 tbsp of ketchup.

Each year, my mom would make my brother and I whichever meal we wanted for our birthdays, and this tasty dish was my go to. Served with mashed potatoes and a veggie, I would be one happy girl! My dad and brother weren't fans of meatloaf, so they didn't particularly love my birthday choice each year, haha! Pour the tomato sauce over the meatloaf and sprinkle with the sliced onions.

Mom's Meatloaf step by step

  1. preheat oven to 375°F..
  2. beat egg with milk.
  3. mix all ingredients in large mixing bowl.
  4. pack in bread/loaf pan.
  5. place bacon on top, held with toothpicks.
  6. cook for 1.5hrs.
  7. let set and cool before slicing.
  8. What I like to do is chop up the leftovers and mix them with brown gravy in a skillet. Mmmmm!.
